Objects (things?) I saw once in a dream. Each one individual, distinct, with a unique function; having a life of its own. And yet as segregated as they appeared, I knew they were all different aspects from a single entity.

My vision of embryonic stem cells; After they have decided “what they want to be when they grow up” –The differentiation.

…The ability of said cells to become ANY other cell type within the body is truly fascinating.

Life is a movement. An everlasting cycle of growth and adaptation. Life is a passage, a connection to those close to us, to this world, and places far beyond.

As a living organisms on this planet we are constantly in need to evolve and adapt in order to survive. Part of this so-called adaptation is establishing connections with all that surround us.
By doing so we grow, not only biologically by mentally.

We establish a database of experiences that allow us to perceive life in unique ways, which in return allows for furthering the process of personal evolution while expanding on our comprehension of the world we exist in.

The piece is inspired by and dedicated to my creative half, my sister; My Love. Thank you for all the warmth, love, inspiration and support–ALWAYS. It means so, so much.

“Finding One’s Self” is the first of many mini series under a single title. It depicts initial steps of creative self-exploration, in which I employ abstract structures, texture, and color, to illustrate the various layers and fabrics of the being that I am.
